The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) works under the direct supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform clinical laboratory work with automated instruments for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
CLIA defined waived and moderately complex tests may be collected, prepared, performed and reported.
Performs maintenance, calibration and quality control functions under the direct supervision of a CLS.
Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiar with use of LIS specific to the discipline.
