, a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist for our Distribution Center in Walnut, CA.
This role will report to the Director of Accounts Payable and will collaborate closely with a team of accountants to execute the tasks associated with the daily accounts payable function and accounting operations.
Responsibilities include:
Process PO and non-PO related invoices in Concur and the JD Edwards ERP accounting system Contact vendors to obtain the necessary documentation to process invoices such as W9s, and payment details including banking instructions Prepare and process month-end accruals Process wire and ACH payments within the bank portal Follow-up on invoice and payment approvals and other work-related issues Assist Accounting team with processing entries related to the bank reconciliations Prepare backup for weekly check runs Correspond with vendors regarding account statements and invoice payments Validate GL codes and amounts for invoices to ensure accuracy, and resolve discrepancies Assist with special/ad-hoc projects, as needed Work in a team environment and with other departments Skills & Experience required:
High school diploma required Minimum of 3-years related work experience Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel Knowledge of ERP accounting software and database programs.
Experience with JD Edwards a plus Experience in 2-way and 3-way invoice matching Exposure to Concur software a plus Strong quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize work Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willing to work overtime, as needed Our
